Keterhubungan Kota Samarinda dan IKN dalam konsep Smart City
Abstract
Rapid technological developments, the concept of smart city has become a major concern for urban development throughout the world, including Indonesia. The concept of smart city uses technology and database systems to create a sustainable environment that aims to improve the quality of life of citizens. Samarinda City, the capital of East Kalimantan Province, uses the concept of smart city in city management to support the economic, social and environmental progress of its region with technology. The development of the new capital city in Penajam Paser Utara, East Kalimantan is a national project that Indonesia is currently implementing. IKN aims to create a modern city with various innovations using the concept of smart city in its development. The connection between the development of the concept of smart city in Samarinda City and the smart city of IKN is very important because the areas of both are adjacent. This study aims to analyze the connection between the concept of smart city applied by Samarinda City and the development of the concept of smart city in IKN. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. The results of the study show that the connection between regions associated with the implementation of the concept of smart city has a positive impact on the development of Samarinda City and IKN which plan development with the concept of smart city, especially in digital infrastructure, transportation and technology-based governance systems. This study recommends closer collaboration between local governments, Samarinda City with the central government, the Indonesian Capital City and the community to create integration to support the development of the smart city concept between regions.
