Hubungan Status Gizi dan Kepatuhan Konsumsi Tablet Tambah Darah (TTD) dengan Kadar Hemoglobin pada Ibu Hamil di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sidorejo Kidul Kota Salatiga
Abstract
Anemia that commonly occurs in pregnant women is iron deficiency anemia. Data from the Indonesian Health Survey report in 2023 showed that the prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia was 27.7%, where the highest number was in rural/sub-district areas, namely 31.3% and the lowest in urban areas, namely 25.5%. During pregnancy, there is an increase in the need for food intake for maternal health and fetal growth. Energy is needed by the body to help physiological processes such as blood circulation, respiration, digestion and to help the absorption of iron in the intestines. Compliance with consuming iron tablets is measured by the accuracy of the number of tablets consumed, the accuracy of how to consume them, and the frequency of consumption per day. Providing iron tablets (TTD) is an important effort in preventing and overcoming anemia, especially iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and compliance with iron tablet consumption (TTD) with hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in the Sidorejo Kidul Health Center, Salatiga City. This study used an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional research design. The sample in this study was 55 respondents in the third trimester of pregnancy. Data collection using questionnaires, LILA measurements and hemoglobin level checks. Data analysis using the Spearman Rank test. Based on the results of the study, nutritional status (p value = 0.183) and compliance with iron supplement tablet consumption (p value = 0.000) mean there is no relationship between nutritional status and hemoglobin levels and there is a relationship between compliance with iron supplement tablet consumption and hemoglobin levels in pregnant women in the third trimester in the Sidorejo Kidul Health Center work area.
