Manajemen Pelaksanaan Pertunjukan Barongan Risang Guntur Seto dalam Meningkatkan Daya Tarik Dan Ketahanan Budaya Lokal
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the management of Barongan performances by the Risang Guntur Seto Studio to understand its role in increasing public appeal and strengthening local cultural resilience in Blora Regency, Central Java. Amidst the challenges of globalization, Barongan art in Blora faces declining interest from younger generations and the influx of foreign cultures, necessitating strategic preservation efforts. Employing a descriptive qualitative research method, this study involved in-depth observation, interviews with the studio head and choreographer, and documentation. Primary and secondary data were collected from the research location at the Barongan Risang Guntur Seto Studio in Kunden Village, Blora. The findings indicate that the Risang Guntur Seto Studio has successfully maintained its existence by implementing management functions encompassing planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The performances, presented as staged dance dramas with distinctive movements, traditional makeup, costumes, a blend of gamelan and modern musical accompaniment, and audience management through both direct viewing and live streaming, have effectively attracted a wide audience. Consequently, the effective management applied by this studio significantly contributes to the preservation and development of Barongan art as a regional cultural heritage.
