Analisis Kualitas Air Bersih Untuk Meningkatkan Kepuasan Pelanggan PDAM (Studi Kasus Cabang Tebo Tengah PDAM Tirta Muaro, Kabupaten Tebo Provinsi Jambi)
Abstract
Water is a fundamental necessity for human life, used for various purposes such as drinking, cooking, bathing, washing, and other daily activities. In urban areas, problems related to clean water are largely caused by increasing demographic pressure, including population growth, rising food demands, the expansion of agricultural and industrial areas, and the intensive and continuous exploitation of natural resources without regard for environmental sustainability. This study aims to assess the quality of clean water distributed by PDAM Tirta Muaro in Tebo Regency, Jambi Province, using a quantitative research approach. Data were collected from water samples taken at the reservoir tank of the Water Treatment Plant (IPA) and from consumer households. Laboratory testing of samples from the reservoir was conducted by the Health Office of Jambi Province, while field testing of household water samples focused on parameters that could be measured directly on-site, such as turbidity, color, pH, odor, and temperature. The results indicate that the quality of water supplied by PDAM Tirta Muaro, particularly in the Tebo Tengah branch, generally meets the standards for clean water quality as set forth in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2023. Although there were some discrepancies between laboratory results and household measurements, these differences remained within acceptable limits and did not pose health risks. Therefore, the clean water distributed by PDAM Tirta Muaro is considered suitable for public use.
