Peran Mediasi Family-To-Work Enrichment dalam Hubungan Social Support dan Work Life Balance pada Ibu Bekerja
Abstract
Work-life balance is an essential aspect of the well-being of working mothers, particularly those with children in the golden age (0–5 years), as they face substantial demands from both work and childcare responsibilities. The ability to maintain a balance between work and family life is influenced by various factors, including social support and family-to-work enrichment. This study aimed to examine the relationship between social support and work-life balance, with family-to-work enrichment serving as a mediating variable among working mothers with one child in the golden age (0–5 years). This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The participants consisted of 253 working mothers with one child aged 0–5 years, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments included the Social Support Scale, the Family-to-Work Enrichment Scale, and the Work-Life Balance Scale. Data were analyzed using Hayes' PROCESS Macro Model 4. The findings revealed that social support was positively associated with work-life balance. In addition, social support was positively associated with family-to-work enrichment, and family-to-work enrichment was positively associated with work-life balance. However, the mediation analysis indicated that family-to-work enrichment did not mediate the relationship between social support and work-life balance among working mothers with children in the golden age (0–5 years). These findings suggest that efforts to enhance work-life balance among working mothers should focus on strengthening social support from family members, spouses, coworkers, and organizations. Furthermore, future research is encouraged to investigate other mechanisms that may better explain the relationship between social support and work-life balance.
