SITOPIT (Sistem Tongkat Pintar Termonitor) di Kapal Penumpang untuk Meningkatkan Pelayanan Penyandang Tunanetra
Abstract
Visually impaired passengers require an assistive device that is safe and comfortabel when traveling on passenger ships. This study aims to develop SITOPIT (Smart Monitored Cane System), which is equipped with ultrasonic sensors, RFID, a panic button, audio warnings, and a monitoring system based on MQTT and Node-RED. The results showed that the system was successfully designed and implemented using an ESP32, Arduino Nano, ultrasonic sensors, RFID MFRC522, TCRT5000 line-tracking sensor, and DFPlayer Mini. Based on the testing results, all system features, including obstacle detection, location identification, directional guidance, panic button, and audio warnings, functioned properly. The test results showed that the ultrasonic sensor had an average error of 1.27%, while the INA219 had an average error of 0.05%. The RFID achieved a 100% success rate with a response time of 1–5 seconds, and the TCRT5000 also achieved a 100% success rate. The panic button and DFPlayer functioned properly. Testing in five ship areas achieved a 100% success rate, indicating that all SITOPIT features operated as designed. Therefore, it can be concluded that SITOPIT operated in accordance with the research objectives and is feasible for use.
